GigaTera's Light, Mastering the Accuracy and Efficiency of Logistics
- This project is a premier industrial lighting solution that set the standard for a precision logistics environment where no margin for error is permitted, through the application of GigaTera's flagship high-efficiency LED ceiling light, SEGA, at the state-of-the-art Anseong 2nd Logistics Center of Y Logis, a leading Korean logistics company specializing in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, which was completed in 2015.
A specialized logistics center that handles pharmaceuticals and cosmetics is a space that requires high precision, going beyond simple storage to perfectly preserve product value and manage it accurately. In such an environment, which operates 24 hours a day, 'light' is a key infrastructure that directly affects not only worker safety but also the accuracy and productivity of all logistics processes, including inventory identification, picking, and packing.
Perfectly understanding the characteristics of such a specialized logistics center, GigaTera provided its flagship high-efficiency LED ceiling light, SEGA, as the optimal solution. The SEGA lighting evenly illuminates even the narrow and deep aisles between high shelves without shadows, which ensures the safe operation of equipment such as forklifts and allows workers to clearly identify labels on products even at the highest points of the shelves, fundamentally reducing picking errors.
After the project's completion, the Y Logis Anseong 2nd Logistics Center was transformed into the safest and most efficient workspace, satisfying all its workers. The pleasant light, which reduces eye strain, contributes to improving the concentration of workers on long shifts, which in turn leads to increased productivity. Furthermore, the significant energy savings and long lifespan compared to the previous lighting are playing a key role in greatly reducing the logistics center's operational costs and elevating the facility's competitiveness to the next level.
