The Pride of a Corporation, Proven with Overwhelming Light
GigaTera's Light, Illuminating a Healthy Energy for All
- This project is a premier success story in which the lighting of the multi-purpose stadium at Korea Western Power Co.'s Taean Power Generation Headquarters was installed in 2017 with GigaTera's flagship high-efficiency 'SEGA' series LED high-bay lights, achieving a professional-grade light environment with an average illuminance of over 650 lux and creating a superior welfare environment for both employees and local residents.
As a valuable space for communication where employees and local residents interact, the Korea Western Power Taean Multi-Purpose Stadium was tasked with providing a superior environment that could satisfy all its users. Based on precision lighting simulations, GigaTera designed an optimal combination of its flagship models, the 'SEGA' 100W and 150W products.
As a result, with just 39 luminaires (four 100W, thirty-five 150W) and a low total power consumption of only 5.6kW, it achieved the overwhelming performance of raising the average illuminance of the entire facility to a professional stadium level of over 650 lux. This clearly proves GigaTera's unparalleled technology, which produces maximum efficiency with minimal energy.
After the project's completion, the Taean Western Power Multi-Purpose Stadium was perfectly reborn as a bright and vibrant community space enjoyed by both employees and local residents. The professional-grade illuminance of over 650 lux maximizes user satisfaction by clearly showing the trajectory of even fast-moving balls, and the significant energy savings from the high-efficiency LED lighting further highlighted Korea Western Power's eco-friendly management philosophy and values. This is a premier case that presents a successful model of a corporate welfare facility coexisting with the local community.
