A Stage for Passion, Reborn with Perfect Light

GigaTera's Light, Illuminating the Community and the Future

This project is a premier sports facility lighting modernization solution in which the old, existing lighting at the Toyama City General Gymnasium, a key public sports facility in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, was completely replaced with GigaTera's state-of-the-art, high-efficiency LED high-bay lighting system to maximize energy efficiency and provide a superior light environment for all its users.

As a multi-purpose space that accommodates everything from national-level official competitions to the daily sports activities of local residents, the Toyama City General Gymnasium was tasked with the important challenge of providing a lighting environment optimized for all activities. In particular, the previously installed 1000W class mercury lamp lighting had limitations in providing the quality of light that meets modern facility standards, along with the burden of high operational costs due to high power consumption.

To solve this problem, GigaTera's innovative lighting solution was adopted through a close collaboration with its official Japanese partner, Endo Lighting. GigaTera set the core goal of applying high-efficiency LED high-bay lights that could dramatically reduce energy consumption while securing a brightness level equal to or greater than the previous lighting. Through precision lighting design, it provided uniform and glare-free light throughout the entire gymnasium, creating a superior competitive environment for athletes and a pleasant and safe environment for general users.

After the lighting system replacement, the gymnasium was reborn as a space of pleasant light, incomparable to the past, and the most noteworthy achievement was the realization of a phenomenal energy saving rate of approximately 60%. This means that the facility's long-term economic viability was secured by significantly reducing operational costs. Now, with GigaTera's light, the Toyama City General Gymnasium has further elevated its status as an advanced, eco-friendly sports space that delivers the highest satisfaction to all its users.
