GigaTera's Light Redraws the Nights of Palu

This project is a premier case study of an overseas bridge facade lighting installation, where the Ponulele Bridge - the first arch bridge in Indonesia and a symbol of the city of Palu - was reborn as a spectacular landmark of light illuminating the city's night through GigaTera's state-of-the-art MAHA-RGB070 facade lighting in 2016.

The Ponulele Bridge, also known as 'Palu 4 Bridge,' was already an important architectural structure representing the city of Palu. However, to elevate the city's status a step further and to provide an unforgettable nighttime attraction for citizens and tourists, an innovative facade lighting solution was needed to further accentuate the bridge's iconic yellow arch structure.

To bring this vision to life, GigaTera provided its 'MAHA-RGB070' LED floodlight as the core solution, capable of projecting a variety of colors along the bridge's beautiful arch lines. Perfectly integrated with a DMX control system, GigaTera's lighting can freely produce a diverse range of colors, enabling the display of dynamic and spectacular works of light art using the entire bridge as a giant canvas.

After the lighting installation, the Ponulele Bridge has perfectly established itself as the premier nighttime tourist attraction representing the city of Palu. The sight of the bridge, constantly changing with vibrant colors to create a festive atmosphere, has drawn countless citizens and tourists, and it has received high praise from local media and on social media as the 'new icon of Palu'.

This project is the most powerful example of how GigaTera's innovative technology can add more value to a city's iconic architecture and directly contribute to the vitalization of the local economy and tourism.
