GigaTera's Light, Protecting Perfect Quality 24/7
- This project is a premier specialized port solution where a state-of-the-art lighting solution, combining GigaTera's MAH series (MAH600, MAH250) and SFX600 floodlights, was installed in 222 at the main storage yard (Arka Saha) of Autoport, Türkiye's largest specialized automobile port with an annual capacity of over 600,000 vehicles.
In a specialized automobile port where tens of thousands of high-value vehicles are constantly moving in and out, lighting means more than just brightness. A high level of Color Rendering, which allows for the accurate identification of fine scratches or the condition of vehicles at night as if it were daytime, and a precision optical design that illuminates the vast entire storage yard uniformly without shadows, are key elements in protecting asset value and preventing operational errors.
To address the complex requirements of such an automobile port, GigaTera proposed a customized lighting portfolio optimized for the role of each zone, rather than a single product. In the vast vehicle storage yard, powerful high-mast lights, the MAH600 and MAH250, were strategically placed to secure shadow-free, uniform illuminance and to establish a safe working environment 24/7. Simultaneously, in areas where high-quality light is intensively required, the SFX600 floodlight was applied to support the perfect identification of even the finest vehicle conditions with its excellent color rendering, close to that of natural daylight.
Through this project, successfully completed in 2022, GigaTera has proven its technological prowess as a key partner responsible for the safety and efficiency of not just general container ports, but also automotive logistics hubs that demand the highest level of quality control. GigaTera's light will safely protect the value of every vehicle stored at Autoport and contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of automotive logistics connecting not only Türkiye but also Europe and Asia.
