Perfected by the GigaTera Light that Illuminates UEFA Standards
- This project is a premier installation case study detailing the new installation of GigaTera's SUFA series LED sports lighting at Yeni Ordu Stadium (Yeni Ordu Stadyumu), a state-of-the-art, football-specific venue that opened in 2021 in the beautiful city of Ordu on Türkiye's Black Sea coast.
Located just 100 meters from the Black Sea coastline, this beautiful white-roofed stadium is a new landmark for the city of Ordu, completed after various challenges since its groundbreaking in 2017. As a partner in this significant new construction project, GigaTera set its primary goal to perfectly meet the latest UEFA lighting standards while simultaneously providing the best visual experience for everyone visiting the stadium.
GigaTera's engineering team implemented a customized lighting design that provides perfect, shadow-free uniformity across the 20,000-seat spectator area and the entire field. Notably, GigaTera's SUFA series implemented perfect flicker-free technology and a high Color Rendering Index (CRI), optimized for ultra-high-definition broadcasting, to guarantee the broadcast quality of international matches and create an environment where players can perform at their best.
Furthermore, considering the unique nature of this venue—which is actively used seven days a week and houses a sports high school and various training facilities—it completed a sustainable lighting solution that maximizes energy efficiency and ensures long-term operational stability.
