GigaTera Lighting Illuminates Dickies Arena
- This project is a premier installation case study of the new installation of GigaTera's SUFA series sports lighting at Dickies Arena, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose arena in Texas, USA, that celebrated its grand opening in 2019.
This 14,000-seat iconic structure was designed as a multi-purpose entertainment venue, encompassing world-class concerts, sporting events, and the traditional Fort Worth rodeo festivals. To perfectly meet the complex and demanding lighting standards required by such a multi-purpose arena, GigaTera participated as a partner from the initial stages of the project. Based on years of accumulated North American arena lighting data, GigaTera's engineering team designed and successfully implemented a customized lighting solution optimized for the unique characteristics of each different event.
Through the outstanding optical performance of the SUFA series, GigaTera achieved perfect uniformity that provides an undistorted view for spectators in every seat and flicker-free performance for ultra-high-definition broadcasting. This provides broadcast viewers with a vivid, on-site experience and delivers the ultimate immersion for spectators at the arena. Furthermore, the high-efficiency LED system contributes to the arena's long-term sustainability by dramatically reducing energy consumption and operational costs, and its perfect compatibility with DMX control systems also enables dynamic productions for concerts or events.
By successfully implementing the core infrastructure for one of the most high-profile new arenas in the United States, GigaTera has once again proven that its technology is the standard for the major North American arena market.
