GoldenBay, Where the Excellence of SUFA-PTX™ Was Proven
Night Lighting that Enhances Golf Course Operational Efficiency
- GoldenBay Golf & Resort, located in Taean, Chungnam, boasts a prestigious course where the beautiful scenery of the West Sea harmonizes with mountainous terrain. It is particularly well-known for being personally designed by the golf legend Annika Sörenstam and is a place that offers the thrill of strategic play.
To vitalize night play at GoldenBay C.C., GigaTera newly installed a SUFA-PTX™ 1200W lighting system on three courses that previously had no lighting (Ocean, Valley, and Mountain). To provide the best possible playing environment even after sunset, a precision lighting design was applied from the 5th to the 9th hole, taking into account the unique characteristics of each course. Furthermore, GigaTera's intelligent lighting control system, GeSS® Cloud, was introduced in this project. This enables not only the golf course manager but also the GigaTera technical team to remotely monitor the on-site lighting 24 hours a day, further strengthening the system's operational stability.
After the installation of GigaTera's lighting, GoldenBay C.C. is now offering a special night-rounding experience to more golfers, free from the constraints of season and time. This is evaluated not just as a simple facility expansion, but as a successful investment case that enhances the golf course's operational efficiency and solidifies its premium brand image.
