GigaTera's Light, Perfectly Controlling Even Unseen Dangers
- This project is a premier outdoor lighting solution in which GigaTera's high-efficiency SETA LED security light was applied in 2016 across the entire vast site of a state-of-the-art logistics center in Deokpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, to perfectly secure the safety and security of a 24/7, non-stop logistics site.
A state-of-the-art logistics center is a dynamic space where countless high-value assets, cargo trucks, and workers are in constant motion 24 hours a day. In such an environment, 'darkness' outside the building is more than just an inconvenience; it is a very serious risk factor that creates security blind spots and can lead to vehicle and worker safety accidents. In particular, the lighting of the large parking lot and complex access roads was the most critical infrastructure, directly linked to the safety of the entire facility.
To solve this key challenge in a logistics setting, GigaTera proposed the SETA 60W as a solution optimized for 'security' and 'safety.' The reflector-based SETA, featuring GigaTera's precision optical technology, uniformly illuminates a wide area with a minimum number of fixtures, leaving no shadows or dark spots, which maximizes the performance of security cameras. It also provides a clear, glare-free line of sight for drivers and pedestrians, creating a superior environment where they can move and work as safely at night as if it were broad daylight.
After the project's completion, this logistics center was reborn as a perfect 'Safe Zone,' with all areas safely controlled 24 hours a day. The bright, clean light from SETA elevated the facility's security level and maximized the efficiency and safety of nighttime loading/unloading operations. Furthermore, it is regarded as a premier success story that further enhances the value and reliability of the state-of-the-art logistics center by greatly reducing facility operational costs through significant energy savings and a long lifespan.
