GigaTera's Light Becomes the New Standard for Premium Clubs
- This project is a premier sports lighting solution in which the aging lighting of the tennis courts at the prestigious Westlake Athletic Club in California, USA, was completely replaced in 2020 with GigaTera's state-of-the-art, full cut-off asymmetrical MAHA series lighting, maximizing member satisfaction and elevating the club's prestige to the next level.
Boasting top-tier facilities and services, the Westlake Athletic Club was faced with the challenge of providing the ultimate tennis experience for its members. However, the previously installed 1000W class metal halide lamps hindered the members' playing experience due to non-uniform light quality, with both dark spots and hot spots occurring on the courts. Furthermore, high energy consumption and frequent maintenance costs were a direct cause of the club's decreased operational efficiency.
To fundamentally solve this problem, the Westlake Athletic Club chose GigaTera as its optimal partner. GigaTera provided a solution that replaced the existing 1000W metal halide lamps with 400W high-efficiency MAHA LED lighting. The key technology of the MAHA, its full cut-off asymmetrical design, created the most pleasant playing environment by uniformly illuminating the entire court while perfectly controlling glare for the players.
After the project's completion, the club's playing environment achieved a dramatic success in every aspect.
